Oils and Complex Pastes
Icare’s manufacturing capability includes soft gelatin capsules across a range of oil and paste formulations. Softgels are well suited to oil-based ingredients such as fish oil, krill oil and other omega-3 concentrates, and to fat-soluble nutrients. They can also carry complex herbal paste and oil combinations and selected multivitamin and mineral formulas.
Marine Oil Ingredients
Icare works with established suppliers of marine oils including fish and salmon oil, omega-3 concentrates, omega-3 ethyl esters, krill oil and calamari oil, allowing ingredient specification to be matched to your product claims and positioning.
Oxidation Control
Oils are sensitive to oxygen, heat and light. Formulation, antioxidant selection, processing conditions and packaging are considered together to protect product quality and shelf life.
Shell Options
Shell options are assessed per project according to formulation, market and dietary requirements. Options that can be discussed include bovine and fish gelatin and selected specialty shells. Please confirm the shell type required for your product during the project brief.
Packaging
Softgels are typically supplied in bottles or blister packs designed to limit oxygen and moisture exposure.
